Cambodia is a beautiful and lush country with friendly people. But the people bear tremendous grief and hurt stemming from the genocide thirty years ago. As a result, the country has experienced much turmoil in its past years. Buddhism is the dominant faith that many hold in this nation. The people need Jesus to move forward from the devastation that befell Cambodia.
Campus Ministry / Personal Evangelism / Local Church Ministry
The genocide purged the nation of all its intellectuals, religious figures, and leaders. Therefore, the future of the nation lies with the next generation of leaders, the students. These students will hold tremendous influence over Cambodia’s future. Half of Cambodia’s population is younger than twenty. Imagine them leading the country in a Godly manner. Come and engage the country’s future leaders, and literally watch God shape the course of history.

War. Communism. A heaping bowl of noodles. Perhaps these are the things that first come to mind when you first think of SEA. But, in recent years, the country has grown through open doors and economic reforms. General stability within the country has risen as the country has strayed from its stringent Communist ideals.
Campus Ministry / Personal Evangelism
Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism have strongly influenced the religious and cultural life of the people. About 85% of the people from SEA identify with Buddhism, though not all practice on a regular basis. Although the people of SEA are familiar with Christianity because of the country’s ties with the Western world, only about 8% of the population call themselves Christians.
Friendly students await conversations. Come and experience the Holy Spirit as He arranges divine appointments with various students.

Ministry focus: Ministry to Urban Communities
Chicago is a world-class city of 3 million people, and contains people from every country of the world in its 77 different communities. Because of the many different cultural groups, the opportunities for exploration and for ministry are endless. During the summer you will get a chance to spend time ministering in various communities and among various ethnic groups in the city. You will grow in your ability to relate cross-culturally as you spend time interacting with people of all different cultures: Whites, Latinos, African-Americans, and Asian-Americans.
You will have the opportunity to share your faith each week in a variety of settings. One week may be in a Summer Day Camp for African-American children. The next week you may be lending a helping hand in a homeless shelter. The next week you may be helping to run a sports clinic in a Mexican-American community. Many of the ministries will focus on helping to raise up a new generation of godly young leaders in their neighborhood. This summer mission is in partnership with CRU inner-city.
